Central Services consists of the following services:

Reception/cashier; records; switchboard; human resources and miscellaneous, and a secretarial pool.

Purpose

To provide administration and human resources support services to the Ministry of Works & Engineering.

How Purpose Measured

Degree of customer satisfaction and number of complaints received.

Computer and paper records and files.

Linkages to Other Programmes/ Organizations

The Comptroller provides an accounting and budgetary service.

The Accountant General provides monthly payrolls and assists in the preparation of pension computations.

The Department of human resources provides a human resources support service to include information and assistance for those human resources hired by the Ministry.

The Department Labour & Home Affairs provides an annual manpower survey.

Inhouse technicians with support from outside vendors provide and install telephone instruments and manage the maintenance and operations of the telephone system.

The Land Survey Section produces and provides OS Maps for sale.
