Description
This sub-division provides the following services:
The provision of ongoing systems improvement, maintenance, and development on behalf of the Ministry as required/requested;
Provide oversight of financial service (to include reports, payroll, etc) of the Trustees of Port Royal, St. George’s, and Ocean View Golf Courses;
The conduct of special projects on an ad hoc basis relating to legislation, policies, procedures, business systems, and ongoing operations;
The participation as required on all statutory, appointed or Government-wide committees that deal with issues specifically affecting the Division, or issues affecting Government departments in general, or committees established with the private sector and which require government representation; and
The participation in internal to Ministry staff meetings at various levels designed to improve communications and informed decision making. In addition it includes systems training, update seminars, Divisional coordination, and staffing matters.
Purpose
To address those areas not covered in the three other sub-programs such as: systems development, Golf Course Trustees support, special project management, external to Ministry committee participation, and internal to Ministry team building endeavors (i.e. meetings, training, coordination, staffing, etc.) .
How Purpose Measured
Systems maintained, improved and/or developed; Management reports produced
Attendance at committees and meetings; Training completed.
Linkages to Other Programmes/ Organizations
Accountant General provides cheques monthly and as required.
Computer Systems & Services Department (CSSD) provides technical expertise on hardware and software matters.
Other Central Services {Management, Information, Personnel, etc.) advice and support as required.
